Supernatural is a bit of an outlier for the CW. It fits the melodrama, but lacks a lot of the rest of the stuff that makes me like CW shows.

Most of the shows (at least the ones I've watched) have a plethora of female characters doing things. They may have love interests, but they don't let their love interests be the whole of their lives. It's nice.
