Unbendable
Jun. 27th, 2013 07:35 pmAccording to the physical therapist I saw today, my problems are due to the fact that my ankles' range of motion is limited when flexing upward (toes toward shins) due to tight calves. He had this nifty ruler thing that measures in degrees, and apparently average is somewhere around 10 degrees. Mine was about negative 2.
It is, apparently, fixable via assorted calf stretches, so that's what I get to work on for a while. As long as it makes my heels and ankles stop hurting, sounds good to me!
(My mom, when I demonstrated to her how your ankle is supposed to bend forward more than mine does when you walk, said, "You know, I always thought you had kind of a stumpy gait...")
