The state of things

icepixieHad a halfway decent practice this evening for the first time in what feels like forever. I failed to actually complete an inside three turn, but my outside threes and mohawks felt effortless, and my edges are getting more stable.
I have 917 words on my Yuletide assignment. It's not at all what I started out to write, and not what I would've written without the assignment, but I kind of like it anyway. Still might write the other thing I was thinking about as a treat if I can tear myself away from the not!drawerfic long enough to do it.
Speaking of which, I'm still toiling in Part 2. (73,000+ words!) I had...well, they all kind of hinge on one another, but let's say I had four major pieces/scenes of cleanup to do after the emotional high point, and now I'm done with one and a half of them. Once I tidy all that up, I can move into Part 3, which should meander less than this one. I hope. I swear, every time I tried to end a scene, another one sprouted on top of it. It was meant to be eight chapters; I now have thirteen, with either one or two more necessary to complete things. But! Light at the end of the tunnel!
