It takes two seasons out of four for them to get to the reveal, but they have a lot of fun getting there.

Oh goooodddddd. I'm not sure I can do two seasons. I know there are cute things (like apparently Clark and Lois fake being married multiple times? That is my bulletproof narrative kink), but I don't know if the show is good enough for me to deal with idiocy in service of plot for that long.

Also, by skipping ahead you will miss John Shea creating the definitive live-action Lex Luthor.

While I didn't mind Shea in the first episode, I gotta admit, the Superman angle is not what draws me to this show. I have the vaguest of knowledge of the mythos, and no real urge to increase it. I did enjoy that the universe they're operating in appears to be slightly more technologically advanced than ours, like with the colonists going up to the space station in the pilot. (And then there's "Wear your beepers!" which was LOL-hilarious.) If they do more with that, I could get interested.

Cat Grant is COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS, but I can't deny I enjoyed her character in a popcorny, scenery-chewing way.
