I just figured out how to use the displacement filter in Photoshop. (Yes, I'm slow with filters.) Ooooooh...

Made an Alias wallpaper using said effect, along with one of those spiffy quickmask border dealies. It's another too-many-words-to-be-an-icon thing. Lyrics are from "Perfect Girl," off of Sarah McLachlan's new album. Lookie here.

Speaking of that album, it's...interesting. Sounds a lot like Touch, but more background music-y. Some interesting lyrics, though...

Also, does anyone want this icon? It's just the picture layer from the wallpaper shrunk down. I have no plans for it, so if anyone wants it, go ahead and take it.

*makes note to play with displacement filter*

It's a fuuuun filter. For this one, I used one of the quickmask borders you mentioned a couple months ago on

photoshop_anons, and then "random strokes" in the displacement filter, which is under Distort. The first time you use the filter, you have to tell it where to find the displacement maps (they should be in the Plug-Ins folder of your Photoshop folder).

BTW, if you ever want to start any sort of PS related discussion or put tips or anything on photoshop_anons, please feel free to do so!
