And they suck at skating, too! (Well, IMO they suck. Galit can't skate on an edge to save her life, and it always looks like Sergei's dragging her around after him.) But yeah, this is one of the worst pairs of costumes I've ever seen. It even tops Grishuck/Platov's neon-pink-with-day-glo-yellow-pom-poms-hanging-off-the-skirt monstrosity.
Sergei, obviously, is Russian, while Galit is American of either Ukrainian or Russian extraction, I forget which. However, they skate for Israel. 'Cause they never made it to Worlds at American nationals, and for good reason...
Well, they are Russian/of mostly Russian heritage. That tends to explain it, usually. And since in the ice dance world, Israel (the country they skate for) is Russia's loyal servant, well...
