So Shae-Lynn Bourne and Victor Kraatz have broken up their partnership and Shae-Lynn plans to skate "singles" (by which I mean a funky version of solo dance). Currently, Marina Anissina is skating a solo version of her and Gwendal Peizerat's program at tour stops they had already committed to before he had to have emergency surgery on his shoulder.

It's been suggested at FSU (I really should stay away from there...not only does it suck up time, but my mental voice goes all voidy and Russian-accented) that Marina and Shae-Lynn should skate together, at least until Gwendal heals. It'd be like Velma Kelly and Roxie Hart, complete with scandal, infamy, and hatred! *giggles madly* Dude, you could add Pasha and two more more-or-less infamous female ice dancers (hmmm...Elizabeth Punsalan? Galit Chait?) and you'd totally have the Cell Block Tango.

I'm really very amused by this. Hee.

ETA: Still trawling FSU. Just realized that when you refer to them by only their initials, the American pairs team of Spielberg/Joeright becomes S/J. *fangirl giggle*
