icepixieWoo-hoo! I finally found an mp3 of Lindsey Buckingham's "D.W. Suite"! I first heard it on Hallmark's rerun of Northern Exposure's spring fever ep that was the finale of the second season. The first part? So pretty. That show always had the best music. Best everything, really, Farscape notwithstanding.
Had me a little NX fest last night, too. I stand by my assertion that Cicely is Gambier/Kenyon in Alaska with three hundred more people. Ruth-Anne's store looks so freaking much like the Village Market that it's downright spooky. I've gotten canned goods off shelves that look exactly like those, although with better lighting. And yeah, I know people who are like all of the characters. Granted, I hang out with the more, ah, eccentric crowds, but still. And we certainly had enough snow this year to pass for, if not Alaska, then at least the town in Washington state where NX was filmed. Okay, so our Brick is the bookstore (everytime I go in there, I see someone I know), and our gossip is that one of the Amish families has gotten two horses to pull their carriage and are now joyriding up and down the main drag rather than over a herd of reindeer stalling out downtown, but still. Are we seeing the similarities here? Uh-huh.
Maybe I should finish up some of that Maggie/Joel fic that's clogging up my hard drive. Or maybe I'll just go back to reading Under the Greenwood Tree, my latest venture into Hardy-land...
