I just figured out what Wonderfalls reminds me of. Remember that Nickelodeon show, Clarissa Explains It All?

And oh, look. Jaye is ten years older than Clarissa was when the show was made circa 1994.

(And no, I'm still not really any further on my story. At the moment, work is looking sort of like this giant tidal wave that's about to swallow me and the entire population of some small country, like Switzerland.)
