So I presume Mac has cancer, or some other nasty disease? I'm guessing that's what that little bit with her questioning what she could have was supposed to indicate. ('Cause this episode apparently wouldn't know subtlety if subtlety hit it in the head with a bat. Chick living in the apartment with Mattie: Mattie is a typical angsty teenager! Harriet: We're one big gooey happy family! Mac: Webb and I had such a special connection that we're psychic! Guy on ship Sturgis was investigating: I'm a tough guy and don't have to tell you anything, neener neener! Yeesh. Are all of the eps like this? I've only seen bits and pieces before, plus maybe a whole one of the eps where Mac was fake-pregnant in some Central American country with Webb, so I have no baseline to measure this one by.) The ending was sorta sweet, but I guess I thought I cared more than I actually did. Meh.

Actually this was a good episode. Most the time Kate and I talk about other things during the episode but not tonight. As for what's wrong with Mac I'm hoping it's Endomitriosis.

Although I suppose I'm looking at it as someone who has no desire for children, so the main, er, symptom of infertility doesn't really bother me.

Doesn't really bother me either but the reaosn we think it's that is because of the baby deal. And because Harm brought it up I'm even more conviced.

Anyway, if that's better than the usual level of dialogue, I'm glad I don't watch this show on a regular basis. I don't think I could deal with the blatantly unrealistic and cliched phrases coming out of these people's mouths every week. It sounded so...scripted. Gah.

There really isn't any other reason I'm here other then the ship. And after eight years I can't figure out why I'm still here.

JAG has gone down hill the past few seasons... I think the only reason I'm still sticking to it is for loyality reasons - I've been with the show from the very first season that aired on NBC (which was quite bad, by the way... it had a few redeemable episodes, but mostly it was about two blonds who wanted to get into Harm's pants... so very glad CBS picked it up and made it not quit so sex-drived, at least for the first few seasons). So, yeah, the ship is nice and all (if bloody frusterating), but mostly it's loyality. Probably a lot like those who watched X-Files all the way through, even after it became something of a train wreck. :)

I didn't watch X-Files peroid, just heard about it from everyone else who did online. I think I saw maybe one episode out of the entire series, two at the most, and both woulda been waaaaaaaay back in first season when they origionally aired, so I don't remember much of them.

And yes, explosions are always fun. :D And I suppose JAG is pretty conservitive, though I never really thought about it. The spin off of it that they started this season, Navy NCIS (think CSI, only with millitary cases... None of the main characters themselves are millitary, I don't think) is great, though. It's snarky. And slashy. And it has Mark Harmon in it, who totally slashable with Michael Weatherly (Logan from Dark Angel). And it has a goth chemist. And did I mention it was snarky? :D
/shameless series plugging :)
