Sorty of a cheesy name, but...
Jun. 9th, 2004 03:35 pmGot around to watching my tape of P:WOG (there has to be a better acronym for that show--that makes me think "pollywog," or a misspelling of those cardboard pogs that were all the rage in middle school), and spent most of the time wondering how a show that resembles Baywatch more than any sort of military show could still remind me so much of S:AAB, and especially why the character of Bobby reminded me so much of Coop.
Twenty minutes after I finished the tape, it occured to me that the actor playing Bobby was the same guy played Coop.
Bow to my supreme powers of observation. ;)
But anyway, despite the Baywatch vibes, there seems to be some interesting material in the interpersonal relationships going on, so since I rarely have anything better to do, I'll keep watching. Although my inner geography nerd is ticked that they showed deserty-looking mountains when they were supposed to be flying around near Pensacola. Um, no. There's this thing where Pensacola is located on Florida's Gulf Coast, see, which, in my experience, is quite flat and pretty green except for the white sand on the beaches. No mountains or deserts, sorry.
