More P:WOG

So I guess this is one of those so-bad-it's-good shows, 'cause wowee, is it bad. Bad to the level of, and I quote,

Doctor chick: "I knew the rumors about you being made of stone weren't true."
Older Military Guy who's v. interested in her: "Why?"
[she pricks him, draws blood]
Doctor chick: "Because you can't get blood from a stone."

*headdesk*

There were other bits of dialogue that were even worse, and delivered poorly (mostly by same Older Military Guy above), but I've managed to erase them from my mind. But they are fun to snark on while watching. I'm still drawn to the vaguely interesting character interactions (when they aren't speaking in cliches, anyway), and the plots seem to hang together okay, which is more than I can say for some shows. And I know there's good A.J./Annalisa shippiness, so hey, I'm on board. Even though my inner geography freak is still pointing and laughing at action taking place in deserty canyons that simply do not exist in Florida's panhandle.

Indeed. And the show itself is...bad. Really, truly awful. The cliched writing is topped only by the complete lack of emotion from the lead actor. It's frightening--he makes Spock look melodramatic. Everything he says comes out in the same monotone. Disturbing. And yet I'm still watching. So bad it's snarkable, I guess. ;)

That's about the only reason I watch CSI: Miami - so I can laugh at the acting and characters.
