Wall is slighly steadier...
Jun. 26th, 2004 05:28 pmMy vision is still weird with the new glasses, but I think it's mostly attributable to needing to have the nosepads readjusted so that a.) the glasses are closer to my face and not halfway down my nose, b.) they don't tilt up and outward, and c.) they aren't all up around my eyebrows, and instead actually have some lens near, oh, my eye. They look nicer than the old frames, but I still pine for the larger lens space of the old ones, in all their round glory, that are apparently a shape that doesn't get made anymore. (However, the new frames? They make me look sixteen instead of fourteen! In a few more years, I might actually look the age I am now! Although that would take me out of the running for the Oil of Olay endorsement, which, let's face it,
tarzanic has locked up anyway. ;))
I should so look into contacts. If only I could touch my eyeball without blinking...

Date: 2004-06-27 12:33 am (UTC)Yeah, I always have a bit of trouble when I get new glasses. Changes in prescription and/or fit have me doing the wavy walk for several days.
Yay on looking closer to your age! I have clearly given up. Twelve, jeez. ;)

I will when I'm not sick as a dog and won't break the camera with my red nose, puffy eyes, and sour expression. ;)

Yep. The last time I got my prescription/frames changed (uh...five years ago...), they actually got the prescription wrong, so I'm wary now. Grrr. But now that I got these frames adjusted so they sit correctly, I don't have any problems. Or at any rate, I didn't kill anyone driving home, so apparently my depth perception has returned...

That is rather sad. ;) I think I can pass myself off as a college student when I'm with a group of other students (although maybe not--none of my friends really look much older than high school), but with my parents, it's all over.
