Like X-Files, only not.
Jul. 11th, 2004 10:28 pmMmmm, nice fannish weekend for me.
This was pretty neat. I'm curious how they're expecting it to be an actual television series, though--it feels more like a mini, and that's not just because of the fact that it reads like a way, way better version of Taken. (It also reads like a less-weird version of Twin Peaks, but that could just be the location and the fact that they filmed everything under some kind of grey light filter. That got a little annoying after a while, to be honest. Sunshine, people! I know it's Seattle, but half the time I could barely see the screen, f'r cryin' out loud!)
The plotline with the high school kid, Shawn, got a little boring, but everything else was intriguing. I think I'll especially like whatever develops between Lily and Richard, and whatever happens with Maia. She's eerie, but not creepy like most little-girls-with-psychic abilities end up being. And the impending ship between Diana and Tom, while anvil-like, could be good. I kind of want it not to happen so as to validate her statement about alone (in, I assume, a non-romantically entangled sense, not a friendless sense) being better, 'cause, dude, totally my future, but whatever. Looks like it'll happen, and that's cool, too.
And hee, Narim was in it! And he got staked through the heart! *snerk* Okay, that was mean...I liked Narim all right on SG-1, although he was another creepy SamStalker, and the actor's a good one.
Oh, and again with the Web of Sci-Fi People: Why helloooo, Messrs. Behr and Echevarria! I wondered where you'd got to after DS9!
So, litmus test: I want more. Good show, everyone.

Date: 2004-07-13 01:25 am (UTC)Good luck. Who made the icon? Or did you make it out of something you found lying around your hard drive and now you want to know where it came from?
