Ummmm...yeah. So that didn't suck or anything. *rolls eyes* There was so much bad in this, but I think the worst had to be the Richard/Lily stuff, which was ironically what I had most been looking forward. Okay, writers, a reminder about what's gone on in your show: about, oh, a week or two ago, unless you went ahead several months without telling anyone, Miss Lily just had her husband issue a restraining order and essentially kick her out of his and his daughter's life. Richard just found out that the love of his life is long dead. And after a week to process this, they're going to be getting an apartment together and having candlelit dinners with dancing and kissing? I don't think so! Auuuuggghhh!!! The husband being such a rat bastard was already unbelieveable enough, but now this? Give me a break! Even if it's Lily's magic baby that's influencing their actions, there ought to be some kind of recognition of the fact that they essentially came out of really serious relationships approximately seven days ago!

Also, the teen angsty storyline with the girlfriend swapping? Bleh. Pah. And other monosyllabic words of disgust. I gave up and muted that scene in the garage with Shawn and Nikki.

Diana taking Maia is an interesting development (I presume it's just until an adoptive family can be found, given the shocking lack of paperwork) that I'm looking forward to seeing more of. Maia's still intriguing. I liked the guest 4400-er well enough--I liked the idea of a small, unnoticed man suddenly getting such strength, then everyone banding together to get his project done after he's killed for it. Sure, it's been done a thousand times before, but this iteration was executed competently by the writers and actors, and there was a nice warm fuzzy feeling at the end.

Last question: What the hell is with all the bad pop music? God, can we give it a rest? That song in the otherwise-cool opening credits is vile and needs to leave, pronto.

So much wasted potential here. Blech.
