On second thought, something semi-interesting did happen to me today. *looks at clock* Okay, yesterday. Anyway, Mom talked me into buying a hat at K-Mart. I never buy or wear hats except for wooly winter things, so this is new and different. It's a purple "knit skull cap" with purple jewel-things in it. It doesn't have a brim, but if you flip the end up all the way around about a quarter of an inch, it looks a lot like a cloche hat. And since I have that whole 1920s obsession, that makes me happy. :)

Ugh. It's like breathing water outside, the humidity is so high. Seriously. It's gotta be above 90%. It takes massive effort to draw breath.

I knew what result I would get the moment I saw the name of this quiz. I was not disappointed.

when harry met sally
Everyone remembers the 'faked-orgasm-in-a-deli'
sequence from your kind of movie When Harry Met
Sally. It seems that you're falling for a buddy
or have already fallen for them. Uh-oh. You're
probably caught between the possibility of
having a great relationship and wrecking the
one you have now. You know what they say, it's
better to regret something you did than
something you didn't do.

I should rent that movie before I go back to school. (Auuuugh! Twelve days! Nooooo!) I feel the need for Meg Ryan's particular brand of cuteness.

ETA for FS-Shippers: Yes, I know one of the answers was Princess Bride. Luckily, I didn't even have to try not to get that; it was the complete antithesis of all of my responses. *satisfied smile*

The Facts

Since we always seem to be arguing about what to call a carbonated beverage at school, here's a study on what people across the nation call them.

Personally, I go for "coke" (even if it's Sprite, it's coke, dangit!). Most of the nation goes for "soda," followed by "pop." Crazy Midwesterners. I gotta say, whenever someone says something along the lines of "I'm putting pop in the fridge," I think "You're putting your grandfather in the refrigerator? What?"

Anyway. There you have it--the New Englanders and Middle Atlantic types win. Sigh. There's so many of y'all...
