Kenyon's electrical system = crap.

*grumbles some more about spending the afternoon without electricity, which went off just as my clothes were in the dryer*

So we did cha-cha technique and combos at the shortened competitive practice tonight (Igor's coming on Wednesday this week). I spent the first half doing it my old, crappy way which makes my calves hurt. Then I finally sorta-kinda almost figured out the correct technique for it (better than I had by the end of last year), which tends to make your hips/abs hurt. So now all parts of me from my ribcage down are sore or are going to be sore tomorrow, basically. Eeee.

Cool thing that happened this evening: I was cacking away over

josephides's new fic (which you all should read!) and Kate, my roomate, looks over to see what I'm laughing at. (Our desks are attached to the wall and to each other, so we have about a foot of desk and drawer space between us.) I tell her that since she's a fanfic addict and S/J shipper, she needs to read this. So she does, and then we're reading and laughing at the same fic at the same time. It was kind of surreal, but extremely cool. I love having a roomie who knows what fanfic is! And I love having a roomie who gets the SG-1 references I'm making--it was raining all day today, and we were walking back from lunch very quickly. So I bust out with the "And we're walking!" from 2010, and we're both cracking up. Hee.

And now I need to go to bed...
