Mmmm. Happy warm weather. I'm running around in shorts in November. This is my kind of autumn, especially compared to last year, when it was trying to snow around this time. *shudder* Yay seventies! Wheeee!

Not that I actually get to be out in it. Gotta work on this essay for Irish Lit. Sigh. I think I'm doing something on swan imagery in middle and later Yeats poems, and how he saw himself as a swan, all solitary and unchanging in the face of time/history. Or something like that. Mmmm-hmmm. Of course, I suppose I could take the books I got from the library and search for swan references in them outside. Oooh...

Solitudes, Tin Man and TBFTGOG tonight! Methinks I'm skipping ballroom to have a Stargate fest with Kate tonight. :)

Bwah! It's justification for fanfic in an English class. I love it.

"The entire corpus of existing literature should be regarded as a limbo from which discerning authors could draw their characters as required, creating only when they failed to find a suitable existing puppet." - Flann O'Brien, At Swim-Two-Birds, p. 25 (Penguin Classics edition)

Hehehehe.
