"Liminal" is Kenyon's favorite word
Jan. 16th, 2004 01:33 pmDon't wanna go back to school on Sunday. Don't wanna hafta do work...don't wanna pack tomorrow, don't wanna go back to freezing temperatures... *much muttering and grumbling* (Yeah, I know, I've had one of the longest winter breaks ever. Don't care. Still whining. ;))
Seriously, as a creature of habit, it is annoying to have to pack up and go home/to school just when I've settled into a nice routine at school/home, and then do it all again a few months later. Plus, there is absolutely no intersection between my life at school and life at home. Really. None whatsoever, unless you count talking to people on the phone and e-mail intersection. When I come home, after a while it's kind of like "did that really happen? Does Kenyon really exist? Did I just dream that whole thing?" because it's so different from home. (For new additions to the f-list: I live in a fairly large city, while "tiny" and "rural" are optomistic ways of describing Gambier, Ohio, where my school is located. Seriously, 500 people (plus 1500 college kids) versus almost a million. You see my point.)
Anyway, yeah. The last days of vacation are never fun. So I made icons to ignore it for a while.
US Nationals are always fun:
