Sheppard/Weir fic, 'cause they're just so cute. And a pun for the title, 'cause I've been hanging around Nick too long.

TITLE: Getting to the Pointe
AUTHOR: Icepixie
DISCLAIMER: Er, not mine. MGM and all those other little companies own the characters and premise. I'm just playing the sandbox. If you sue, you'll get my college tuition bills.
FEEDBACK/ARCHIVING: You want to archive this? Woo-hoo! Be my guest. Just let me know where it's going: author1[at]comcast[dot]net. All feedback will be accepted and happily responded to at that address as well!
RATING: PG
CATEGORIES: Humor, Sheppard/Weir friendship and UST
SUMMARY: John and Elizabeth are very drunk. John uses this to his advantage.
NOTES: This was inspired by the allusion to the talent show in an untitled piece that [livejournal.com profile] mylittleredgirl posted to [livejournal.com profile] john_elizabeth, and the ensuing discussion thereof.

So you know how I said I wasn't making any more icons for a while? Um, well, you see... *glances about* I am not addicted to Photoshop. Am not. *hears laughter* Shush!

Most brushes used came from [livejournal.com profile] quebelly. Atlantis screencaps are from [livejournal.com profile] pellmelody and the Torri Higginson Information Page. All icons are shareable; please credit me in the keywords.

The four Atlantis icons:

Cut because they're from 38 Minutes, but I wouldn't call them spoilery )

And ten ballet icons, 'cause I had a lot of fun with the same image.

Oh, and for any Farscape-Shippers listmembers and Scapers in general who may not have seen this elsewhere, Natalie's done a fabulous job with putting all the various quote lists up at [livejournal.com profile] scaper_quotes. God, we're all so wrong. Hilarious, but so, so wrong.

Owwwwww.

Did the "swimming" thing again. I don't think my shoulders have ever hurt so much. But water ballet is sort of fun...it's way easier to get up in releve, and developpes are a snap. ;) However, jumps underwater? Noooot so much. Even my I-haven't-taken-ballet-in-six-years pas de chat is better on dry land.

*rereads* Between that Atlantis fic and the icon set of which this one is a part, I've somehow worked my way back into full dance-geek mode. Ay-yi-yi. Sorry, y'all. It won't be like this for long, I promise.

I watched The Shipping News last night. Haven't read the book, because common consensus seemed to be that it only won a Pulitzer 'cause the prize committee said, "This is completley incomprehensible. That must mean it's very Deep and Important, and we would look like idiots if we didn't award it the prize!" The movie was...well... )

Pimping [livejournal.com profile] drop_the_u for anyone who wants to ask questions about American English for fic-related purposes, as well as for those with answers to those questions. That reminds me, I need to sign up as a potential beta...
