Um...how do you eat a toffee apple? I got one from Sainsburys 'cause, hey, apples and toffee sound good together. But...how do you eat these things? The toffee is tooth-chippingly hard, and there doesn't seem to be a way to get at the apple inside. Help?

*blinks* It's hard? It should be soft. I've never had a toffee apple, but I assume they're similar to caramel apples, right? The outer layer should definitely be soft. I guess you could lick/suck it down, but that seems a tedious prospect.

I thought it was going to be soft like a caramel apple, but no, it's rock solid. Harder even than, like, a Heath bar. Sigh. And yes, licking it does seem like a tedious prospect.
