*is insanely jealous of all the Kenyon types who are beginning their Thanksgiving vacations today--or yesterday, even*

Our Thanksgiving is going to be...interesting. All the Kenyon people are doing it as a group at a restaurant in Topsham (little suburb of Exeter), with various professors from the English department coming along. Hopefully it'll work out well.

And finally, Loondon today! LSO tonight! Coming back and responding to comments tomorrow afternoon!

I know you won't get the holiday, but here's an idea for you. I went to university in Edinburgh and we always had exchange students. One year, one of the US girls put together a Thanksgiving meal for a group of us in the kitchen of the flat she shared. It definitely had an international feel to it - there were a few Americans, two Brits, one Aussie, one Serbian, and a Japanese girl if I recall. We had a blast and it really meant something to every one of us.

I actually really want to do something like that. My friends and I were talking about doing that, and inviting all our flatmates, before this big thing came up. We might have a somewhat condensed version the weekend after this coming one (when we're going to be in London yet again on yet another class trip)...turkey lunchmeat slices heated up, stuffing out of a box, something as close to my mom's sweet potatoes and cheesy green bean casserole as I can get... Oooh, I'm excited now. :)
