Okay, maybe not crashing into a coma just yet.

Making icons was my choice of procrastination tool this go-round, and for some reason, they're Contact (yeah, the movie) icons. Dunno. Lots of shippy ones, 'cause I think was was one of the few people who liked the movie better than the book because of the shippy.

Yeah, but I suspect astrophysics involves more scrambling for funding. And anyway, everything pays better than being a humanities grad student, say I the Library Science grad student. I may be especially bitter because LIS is considered a "professional" degree and so we don't get financial support, just loans. Bleah.

That's for your projects. According to natural sciences grad students and professors I know, the job prospects are better than for the humanities, the scholarships are better, and often the pay is better. *sigh*

I came thisclose to going to library school instead of grad school. If I were paying tuition and not getting a stipend, it would've had to be part-time distance learning or something rather than full time, though. At least my higher ed pays me to go and for my teaching labor...
