So, little spiders have invaded my room.

Did I mention that SPIDERS have invaded MY ROOM?

*shrieks*

I don't usually have a problem with spiders, but these are rather large little buggers, maybe a couple centimeters long and very quick. Um, are small light brown English spiders poisonous? *runs off to Google*

Virtually nothing in England is poisonous. [insert culinary/beer mockery here] We're just no fun. Adders and that's yer lot.

Our little brown spiders, however, are highly poisonous. Only if they're ingested though, so yeah, don't eat any.

I heard this. A former roommate said this was why she always went to sleep with her hand under her chin, keeping her mouth closed.

I knew there weren't many poisonous snakes, but I thought you might have a few spiders...but glad to know you don't. *whew* Am far too used to brown recluses and black widows inhabiting my space...

I saw an adder once ever. It counted as exciting.

I suppose beesanwasps also count if one is allergic to them. I hope I am not.

So, two nights in a row I was showering, and this spider was skittering around on the ceiling, just kinda watching me (I swear it was! Voyeur spider!)... so the second night when I was done I went and got dirocyn and made him come dispense with it. He smushed it, then declared that it was a brown recluse.

Did I mention my room is attached to the attic? ::whimper::

I've gotten to the point where I can recognize brown recluses (which are actually more poisonous than black widows, even though the latter seem scarier).

And my bedroom totally has the trapdoor leading into the attic in the ceiling. Spider City, lemme tell ya.

See, the problem is, with Black Widows, if they get you you pretty much just keel over and die, or you don't.

Brown Recluses are another story entirely.

I thought it was more "you'll feel pretty crappy for a couple days, and if you have certain conditions you mgiht die, but other thant hat it's not as bad as usually believed." No?
