The new WB kids show "Loonatics" "reimagines" Bugs Bunny & co.

I have no words. Completely speechless in horror.

*shudders*

Well, at least I've now found a conclusion for my Looney Tunes/Farscape essay...

ETA:: Trailer. I'm going to go off and cry now...

Well... I think I'm going to look at this as "Kind of like Tiny Toons, only really really sucky."

To be honest, I think they were going for an "edgy" kind of look that went out of style in comics and animation a few years ago.

Also, they already have Baby Looney Tunes on Cartoon Network (best described as "Kind of like Muppet Babies, only really really sucky"). Do they really need this?

I think they touched a nerve...

Half of them regularly commit acts punishable by law!

snerk. It'a funny because it's true! Just look at Bugs. He's a sadistic con man. Nearly all of his enemies are trying to brutally murder him. At the very least they should be locked up for cruelty to animals.

I do give them credit for the inspired superpower for the Wile E. Coyote knock off (regeneration), but they lose that with "Buzz" Bunny's laser vision. I mean... the hell? I can only assume that drugs caused this whole thing. Lots of really bad drugs.

Well, to be fair, Davey hasn't touched that crack only because he didn't know about it. But now that he's found out about Loonatics, you can bet he'll be knee-deep in the new stuff and he'll use it brilliantly.

I can't believe I clicked that link.

I think I'm scared for life now.
