icepixie | Switzerland and Austria photos

So. Exeter's internet service wasn't playing nice with LiveJournal again, and as I'm nearing my space limit here anyway, I jumped ship to another album service. I will be SO. FREAKING. GLAD. when I can upload to my own server again.

Anyway. Head on over to icepixie.myphotoalbum.com for 160 pictures of Lucerne, 90 of Salzburg, and 5 from the train ride in between countries. The thumbnails are ridiculously tiny, for which I apologize; there doesn't seem to be a way to increase them to a useful size. As usual, you have to click through an intermediate size before you can get to the 800x600, clear version, so beware.

(A note about the Luzern photos: several of the ones from the first two pages are repeated starting on page 4, with actual, y'know, mountains in the background, making them much more impressive. I just wanted to show the progression from haze to clarity.)

Photos from Cornwall will be up at some point. Definitely not tonight.

I think that sign with the Saltzburg pictures says something about being careful what kind of position you put yourself in to rescue someone who has fallen through the ice because you might fall through the ice too. The sign below it says something like "It is forbidden to enter the ice-flat."

Ah. That does make sense. Although I still don't understand what the ladder has to do with anything...there wasn't one anywhere nearby.
