icepixieWhy do so many people insist that Daniel is blond? I don't get this. Daniel is not blond. Sam is blonde. I am blonde. See? Daniel has light brown hair. Always has, for all seven seasons, as far as we've seen. I really don't see how there's any room for debate. Can someone enlighten me? Do I have a different definition of blond(e) than everyone else?
In other news, I may have S/J fluff fic tomorrow. Maybe. It jumps off of a quote from a Joseph Mallozzi chat that's a very slight spoiler for S7, so if you're the type who doesn't even watch Skiffy's previews for next week for fear of spoilage, you shouldn't read it. Everyone else should be pretty safe.
Hermione and Sam have returned and decided that, yes, they want to get started on that cosmic geeking thing, so that xover may happen relatively soon. Dumbledore is in my head and being very blase about the whole Stargate thing. Ron and Jack are having way too much fun together while annoying their respective geeks.
I downloaded a program to convert TTF fonts to Mac fonts the other day. Now I can use the Stargate and Farscape fonts in my classic version of Photoshop. Yay! OS X will read TTF fonts if you just slap 'em in the font folder, but that only goes for X-native programs, which my version of Photoshop is not. At one point, I had PS 7 on here...I deleted it until such a time as when my 6.0 filters would work in 7. 'Cause I luuuuurve my filters, even though my digart teacher thought they were the devil incarnate...
And now I'm just babbling. I'll shut up now.

Two reasons (although I share the belief that he's a bruno):
a) Being blond means being 'sweet, fluffy, cute, adorable, prone to errors, klutziness, engaging, and delightful', as well as going nicely with blue eyes. Those who insist that Daniel is blond usually prefer the school of thought that insists that Daniel is a helpless, fluffy little boy who can't help himself in any way and needs Jack's strong arms to huddle in.
b) James Spader had a decidedly blond-ish tint to his hair in the movie, and it looks like MS attempted some 'hair-lightening products' while in his role as Daniel Jackson - there are episodes where his hair appears dark blond. However, I believe the man is more of a bruno than a blond. See point (a) for why people prefer 'blond Daniel' to 'bruno Daniel'.

*snickers at point a* I figured it probably had something to do with the movie, which I vaguely remember from several years ago. (Cable needs to run it again sometime!) Thanks for your explanations. :)
