Various bits and pieces

From Gateworld's chat with Joseph Mallozzi, 6/14/03:
LansSG1: Hello Joe, Look in your crystal ball and tell where you think each of these characters will be in five years ... ten years?
J_Mallozzi: I may not have the same crystal balls that the other writers have. I could look in my crystal ball and see where I, personally, would like to see the characters. Teal'c would return to Chulak after leading the Jaffa to freedom and settle down. Daniel would still be involved in the Stargate program, overseeing the research and still going offworld. Sam and Jack would be together -- Sam heading her own off-world team and Jack, retired, spending most of his days fishing and making dinner.
How much do I love this man? If I ever go into TV writing, I wanna be just like him. (Hey, I could work on the KimNetwork! Kim promised lots of shippy shows and that nobody gets canceled without a final episode to wrap it all up. And she promised me a job, IIRC, once she gets out of film school... ;))

So Sam gets visitations from Jack, Jacob, Daniel, and...hmmm...another person, but I forget whom. Might be Teal'c. Anyway, they all discuss her choices in life and what has come of them versus what might have been. Is it just me, or does this sound a hell of a lot like Northern Exposure's "Northwest Passages," where Maggie does the whole letters-to-the-river thing, gets appendicites, and sees all her old boyfriends, who take turns bitching at her? Just a thought. Okay, they aren't totally similar, but that was the first thing that came to my mind...

I've discovered the joys of downloading free filters for Photoshop (hopefully they'll all work for Mac) and the wonders of free stock photography websites all in one day. I predict many, many collages in my future. Like, hundreds. Oh, yes. Hehehehehe!!! *does the Happy Photoshop Dance* I have another S/J wallpaper idea that I'll probably start work on tomorrow.

Fic in the next post. Overshot my half-promise from two entries ago by an hour and a half. Ah, well. Don't expect much, BTW. Fluff and not much else.
