Not really sure why the Canadian percentage is so high, but whatever...

My logic board seems to be thinking about dying again, even though it just got replaced last summer. At least it waited until I got back to the US. *sigh* The whole thing's going into the shop tomorrow, so I'll be reading for comps and taking a sabbatical from the computer for a bit, probably. (This is probably a good thing, as I really do need to start reading...just needed impetus like this, really.)

McKay has invaded your brain. ;)

Good luck with comps!

Mac's suck.

And how do I speak more British slang than you do if you just spent a year in England and I've never been there?

My iBook is currently out-of-commission for the same reason. I've been using my PC laptop which is falling apart on the outside.

Mine is a 2003 model and the logic board has gone out two or three times now. And the hard drive doesn't work right, which is fine because I can just take my Firewire drive that I work from to the family eMac whenever this happens.

And Apple will indeed replace the board more than once. I've heard that some people have even gotten a free replacement iBook from Apple when they brought it in more than four times.

Mac's suck.

Insult Apple if you truly must, but at least don't misuse the apostrophe. Grammar abuse is a real problem in this country.

Now there's a horrifying thought.

Hee. There's also the idea that Canada is slowly invading. Speaking of which, I just found Rachel Luttrel (Teyla) on Forever Knight. According to IMDB, Torri Higginson and David Hewlett were on FK too. May a bizarre crossover invade your brain. ;)

Canadians are cool. But hey, I'm home, so gimme a ring. My cell phone service isn't up yet.

I had been considering jumping to a new Mac after I got a new job, maybe even a *gasp* desktop (no logic board problems there!). But the Intel announcement has stopped me from even considering that for the next year.

As it stands. I'll take in my iBook once I have steady income, just in case they charge me for shipping again.

Yeah, I just can't seem to part with portables, even if they do seem to fall to pieces pathetically easy (both Mac and PC).

I doubt I'll get a shipping charge this time because I'll go the extra distance to the Apple Store. I've only ever been charged for shipping at MicroCenter, so I think I'll be good. But I don't have the money to spare at the moment if I'm wrong.

In the meantime, my duct-taped PC is adequate.

And fashionable, too, what with the duct tape and all. Well, fashionable for a PC, anyway. ;)

I just wish I had some blue tape to keep it together. That would be even better than duct tape.

I'd rename it Big Blue if it were an IBM machine. :)

Ooh. Now I have to get blue tape and have a go at it. Probably write "Shallow Blue" in tape on the back or bottom, too.

And I'm not writing that crossover, no matter how much the Wraith are like Nick and his cronies. (Isn't there supposed to be some Wraith around who doesn't want to eat human life force? Is that next season, or am I just remembering from a fanfic?)

Hee, c'mon, you know you waaaaaant to. I mean, maybe Steve had a radio show...

Bwah! *cackles* And perhaps Marilyn Manson-wraith from the pilot owned a bar...

Oh, you know she did!

Now who on Atlantis will want to cure Mr. I Don't Wanna Eat the Humans? ;)
