SG-1

It's still not exactly gripping TV, but this was a lot better than most of last season, so I'll take it. There were wisecracks, there was plot, there was cool ancient tech...I can handle that in the hour before the two shows I really like come on.

Ramblings:
- BEN! Wooooooo-hooooooo!

- "I like yelling at people." Heh.

- Again, much love for Ben's accent, 'cause it's natural and he doesn't overdo it. So much love.

- Daniel, I... Okay, have you all not learned yet that facial hair is not a good look for SG-1? Can we get this in our heads?

- SG-Me. *snerk*

- Sam's new hair still makes me happy. And she "has [her] reasons for wanting this job," does she? *coughcough*

- Okay, the linguist chick is scaring me. The pushup guy, and Mitchell's reaction to him, makes me grin.

- CLAUDIA! Wheeee!

- "I know we haven't met." *snerk* Oh, the irony in this episode.

- "My" Daniel? Say wha?

- "...rather interesting but somewhat limited gene pool." *Daniel and Mitchell look at each other* OMG. I laughed so hard at this. You would not believe.

- Is it just me, or do the gold bracelets remind anyone of those slap bracelets all over my elementary school?

- Is MS taking on Claudia's accent? 'Cause it sounds like he is in scenes with her.

- Pillow fight!

- "Let's make babies!" *giggle*

- Aaaaand Mitchell's proving himself to be a bit O'Neillish in rather the same way as Sheppard, sort of...

- Merlin's an Ancient. Actually...that kind of makes sense.

- Glastonbury! Dude! I was there! You know, it's probably a good thing this didn't air before I went there, or I would've spent the entire time hunting for Ancient storage chambers... ;)

- Hey, transport rings! Haven't seen those in a while.

- Daniel, I love you for getting the Excalibur info correct. *mwah*

- Daniel and Vala are reminding me rather a lot of Rygel and Chiana, and Mitchell of John in mediation mode. Just sayin'.

- "How much worse could it get?" / "I knew I shouldn't have said it the moment I said it" (or something). *snerk*

Atlantis

Even better than the first two parts. S2 looks to be off to a kick-ass start, which makes me happy. :)

- Aw, Lizzie was so sad when she thought John was dead! Her amazed, "John?" when he talked to her over the radio was fantastic.

- And Rodney's got his Christmas present for life...

- "What say we." I think it's a sign that I was mainlining BSG too much last week that I immediately went, "So say we all." Oy.

- Wait...no pretty credits? Are they coming back next week?

- Rodney, you are such an adorable little snot.

- *snort!* And Rodney drops the clip. Nice going.

- "Don't scare me like that." *basks in S/W shippiness*

- And Rodney then forgets his gun. He's batting a thousand here.

- Will someone take away my shipper card if I say that the bumper with Beckett giving Weir that really intense look/smile kind of makes me wonder what it would be like to ship them?

- Squeeee! The hug, the hug, the hug! And then the conversation afterwards! Eeeee! They are so doing it.

- The scene between Everett and John was nicely done. Understated, but got the point across.

- I want screencaps to make icons of John's angry expression right before whatever commercial break I wrote this down in. Hmm. Yeah. That.

- Novak is cracking me up. Was she in other Dedalus episodes?

- "They are angry--I can feel it." Please, for the love of all that is holy, do not turn Teyla into the new Counselor Troi. Just...no.

- Um, Ford, your eye is kind of creepy...

- Whoa, time to calm down, Ford. (And Teyla calls him "Aiden." Perhaps the Ford/Teyla ship of convenience has a sparkle of justification...)

- The ray goggles various people wear throughout this episode are making me flash back to "Till the Blood Runs Clear" from S1 Farscape. It's that kind of night, I guess.

- Yes, Rodney, the shield is very pretty when it's getting blown up.

- Heh, McKay and Zelenka geeking in tandem.

- "A week"/"Two hours." *snerk*

- Aw, Ford's not a happy little eager-to-please puppy anymore. :(

- Shiiiiiiiny shield.

- I love the ending. Nice arc-material starting. (And nice John/Lizzie interaction, too. But you knew I was gonna say that.)

BSG
I wasn't expecting anyone to be able to top the teaser of KLG1, much less the rest of the two episodes, so I'm not surprised that this one wasn't quite as good. They didn't advance the plot...well, at all, really, but they did some good character stuff, so that's okay. I especially liked Tyrol taking charge and Cally handling things outside the hangar. Helo and both Sharons got some nice stuff to work with, too.

- DUDE. Moustache of doom on younger!Adama. Ow.

- Tigh hesitates more than is good for him. Probably why he's the XO and not the commander. I like that they've kept this trait consistent enough for me to notice it across episodes.

- Whoopsie. Um, fleet? Hello?

- And they shortened these credits, too? No more drums at the end? :(

- And Baltar goes further into the Land O' Crazy. No, you can't have babies with a figment of your imagination.

- Love love love the conversation about hearing birds on the planet. Great touch.

- "Bitch took my ride." Um, is Starbuck actually Jaye Tyler in disguise? No, seriously.

- SPLEEN!

- Poor Sharon. s. :(

And the follow up, where he's running after Teyla, looks in his holster to find the gun missing, and just gives this pained shrug, is hilarious,

I didn't notice that he didn't have the gun, but it was funny even without that bit of knowledge.

One of the bullets perforated Adama's spleen, I think. Spleen was mentioned when the medic chick was giving a report to Tigh.

Evil laugh. :)
