Rain rain, go away...
Aug. 30th, 2005 07:30 pmShould I start building an ark? Will it ever quit raining? *sticks out tongue at Katrina*
dacrazyo, even though you can't read this at the moment, I'm glad you're okay.

In other news, I got the Architectural History class, but I determined that two actual intro classes and one that is essentially an intro class will make my brain shrivel from underuse. Well, okay, there's comps to consider, but...brain. So I'm hopefully switching to my fifth 200-level history class in four years, this one on the British Empire. The History department apparently hates me, as all of the six remaining 300/400 level classes either meet during another of my classes, or they're only for history majors, not minors.
This semester has been really, ridiculously bad about scheduling. Everyone wants to teach Tues/Thurs classes, which I can understand, and if I were a professor, I'd be all over the 80-minute classes as well, but DAMN. There have to be a few left for those of us who have our entire Tues/Thurs schedule full. Truly, there do. I wish I'd known half my classes were going to get canceled, 'cause then I'd have just done an independent study or something. ARGH.

However. Other classes are good. Anglo-Saxon looks to be a bright spot in my life. I heart Klein. And Music History with H shall also be much fun. Linguistics looks interesting so far, and
asinpterodactyl is my class. Wheee! Plus, choir starts next week, and I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to that.

I got a pay raise! From $6.00 an hour to $6.50 for my Writing Center job. It's about three hours a week, yes, but it's still money and a job.

Finally, we got the air turned on in our apartment, woo-hoo! Now it's...slightly freezing. But that's better than hot and sticky.
