icepixieSigh. It's raining again. One of those thick, loud, misty, can't-see-three-feet-in-front-of-your-face monsoons. Grrrr.
1. If you had to choose an alias, what would it be?
I like "icepixie" pretty well...
2. Where were you on 9/11?
At school. Heard about it first when I was in the middle of double period first period Pre-Cal...a usual with that teacher, we had a huge break in the middle of the class, and one of the guys went down to the cafeteria to get breakfast and heard that something was going on on the radio. He came back up and we turned on the TV in the classroom. Classes went on as usual, but nobody did anything school-related in class for the next couple days.
3. What is your ideal vacation?
I'm not sure. Somewhere pretty with a laptop?
4. How many first cousins do you have?
Nine.
5. How do you take your pizza?
With every meat product they can cram on there!
6. If you could be fluent in any foreign language (that you are not already) what would it be?
French and Russian, so I can read articles about A/P in those langauges, and maybe do a better job at translating my in-French A/P book...
7. What is your favorite website?
The ones currently in the favorites bar of my browser are my LJ friends list, Helio, the TrekBBS, the StargateBBS, SkatingForums, and my own sites.
8. If you could experience another era of history, which would it be?
Oooh, easy--late Victorian/Edwardian era. Elizabethan era, too. I like times of new discoveries, whether geographic, scientific, or otherwise.
9. What is your favorite genre of movies?
Sci-fi, romantic comedy, historical...geek and chickflicks, basically.
10. If you could have any one superpower, what would it be?
Flight.
11. Can you whistle?
Sadly, no. Not intentionally, anyway; I occasionally whistle when I say words with "s" in them as a remnant of my lisp.
12. If you could be any animal for a day, what would it be?
Bird.
13. Who is your favorite fictional character?
Ooooh...hard. Very, very hard. *attempts to narrow huge list* Sam Carter, Cordelia Vorkosigan, Miles Vorkosigan, Aeryn Sun, Kate from Taming of the Shrew...way too many more to list.
14. Star Wars or Star Trek?
Trek. Easily. Even if I'm not a big fan anymore.
15. What is your favorite beverage?
Stewart's Black Cherry cola.
16. What brand of toothpaste do you use?
Uh...whatever's on sale, I guess...
17. What is your favorite professional sports team?
Taking the question the way it surely wasn't meant, it's a tie between Marina Anissina/Gwendal Peizerat and Renee Roca/Gorsha Sur. Hey, they're ice dance teams, and they're both professional now...
18. Are you "indoorsy" or "outdoorsy"?
Very, very indoorsy.
19. What is your earliest childhood memory?
Sitting in a playpen in the yard of my old(est) house and being damned cold. Must have been before I was 2.5, 'cause that's when we moved for the first time.
20. If you could play any musical instrument, what would it be?
I'd play piano better, or cello or violin at all.
21. What's your favorite accent?
I like my own all right... Marina A's Russian/French accent when speaking English is adorable.
22. When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Artist or ballerina.

Both.
24. If they were making a movie or TV show of your life, who would you choose to play you?
Lookswise, Lori Singer, or possibly some weird combination of Jodie Foster and Meg Ryan. Personality-wise, probably Jodie Foster.

Um, air?
26. If you could compete in any event in the Olympics (summer or winter) what would it be?
No contest. Ice dance. Especially if I get a hot Russian partner...

Lots. Rock, Alternative, Celtic, New Age, Trance...

Fiddling with things a la Jack when when I'm at the computer but not typing (reading fic, e-mail, etc.). Usually it's pens...moved on to a little hair clippy that got lost over here...broke the tassel on my bookmark playing with it... Gotta be doing something with my hands at all times.
