So. I've managed to watch more than one episode of Cupid, finally. Wheeee!

Pilot

- Wow, they were really playing up the Claire-is-Psyche angle in this one, weren't they?

- "Dave and Madeleine." HA! I must be slipping; it took me almost the entire episode to get the reference.

- Loved the ending. Loved the double meaning of the bead that moved. Ostensibly it was because of Maddie and David, but...c'mon. No coincidence that it moved right after Claire agreed to go on a date with meet Trevor, and before Madeleine even reached Dave. We never find out if those two stay together or not, right? Since we didn't get to see the last bead (which Rob Thomas said would have been Trevor and Claire), it might be kind of nice to consider that first one as being scored by them.

The Linguist

- Did I just miss the joke that was begging to be made in this one? 'Cause I don't remember anyone ever uttering the word "cunning," and really, you'd think Trevor at least would've picked up on it...

- Jennings and Kate are my favorite couple of the week so far. Awwwwww.

Heaven, He's in Heaven

- Aw, Claire... *hugs her* Man. There's a bad week.

- I was getting such a Shall We Dance? (the Japanese version, not that thing with Jennifer Lopez) vibe from this. It struck a lot of the same nice notes as that movie. The husband's dance in his office while holding the picture of his wife was just wonderful. And when they danced at the end...is that the Field Museum? 'Cause it was a nifty, nifty building.

- Hee, dancing on a grave. You know, there was an episode of Northern Exposure where Ed and Ruth Ann danced on the plot he'd bought for her. Hooray for shared quirks among series!

A Truly Fractured Fairy Tale

- The frog! BWAH! That guy was so sweet.

- There's a fic waiting to be written about how that Scrabble piece got under Claire's couch. *coughTrevorcough* Also, Claire is TOTALLY the kind of person who would play Scrabble. There is no way this woman doesn't play Scrabble.

First Loves

- This was the one I'd seen before, courtesy of the Lisa Loeb fansite that hosted it for a long time (may still host it, actually). Yay, a singer who can act!

- You know, Jeremy Piven does bear more than a passing resemblance to Dave Matthews.

- Kajagoogoo. Heh. There's blackmail material if I ever heard it.

- That kid's got it all figured out. "They sell eggs here." Bwah! *sends some eggs to Trevor*

Dude, I need more of this. The world needs more than fifteen episodes. This was canceled far too soon. *mourns*
