- Big ol' Fourth Doctor-era icon post coming up soon, where soon is defined as "Before 'Doomsday' airs and the internet goes KA-BOOM." So, later tonight, basically.

- A short Eight&Charley fic also coming up soon. Ish. I've been about a page away from finishing it for a month now, and I'm hoping that putting that out there in public so people can poke at me (will people poke at me? Please?) will motivate me to complete the thing at some point this century.

- Content in this journal that is in some way non-Who related coming...uh...probably not very soon, actually. Seriously, if you're getting sick of all the DW talk here, feel free to defriend me. I will not take it personally. Interests diverge and all that.

Also...I was relistening to "Doctor Who and the Pirates" today. It's a 6/Evelyn audio, so...guessing you haven't heard it yet? Just have to say...I can't recommend that one enough. I adore more every time I listen...sheer brilliance. Hilarious at the beginning, it's got a musical episode which is hysterical (including Colin Baker singing 'I Am the Very Model of a Gallifreyan Buccaneer'!)...but there's an undertone which develops, and by the end it's haunting and beautiful and so achingly, incredibly human... Definitely one of those pieces I listen to and go, "YES! I want my writing to work like THAT!"

Posted! Wheee! God, Mary Tamm is SO GORGEOUS. Lord. And Elisabeth Sladen is freaking adorable on so many levels. I had a hard time actually making the icons and not just staring at the pictures.

Swing dancing in an Eight fic? Awesome. He certainly has the coat for it! (I so need to find/make/put together an Eight costume one of these days.) And y'know, sometimes you make me wanna learn swing dancing...

Dude. If you make yourself an Eight costume, I will find/make a thirties outfit and present myself as Charley. (I even look a bit like India! I'm blonde, at least...) We could go to a con of some sort and dress up for costume night or whatever.

The biggest Who convention in the US usually happens in February around LA...it's run by Outpost Gallifrey, so you've probably seen the ads about that. Dunno I'll be able to afford that one anytime soon, though!

There's also one that at least sometimes happens around November in Chicago...not sure if that one's happening this year or if I could afford that either really. Gah. (Also, there's some talk of Scapers gathering for thanksgiving at Eric's place in Florida. So yeah.)

But one day, sometime not too far off! We'll find a way to make this happen.
