Totally awesome music video. People in Edwardian dress vaporizing moon monsters with parasols! How can you not love it? *g* Not to mention Billy Corgan (who looks disturbingly like one of my cousins) in a waistcoat, frock coat, and fedora. I'm surprised I hadn't seen this before, as I got into the Smashing Pumpkins only a couple years after this was made. [1] Of course, I think the only time I ever watched MTV was when Daria was on, so.
[1] Insofar as I remember periods of my life by music, the Pumpkins are pretty close to defining the first two years of high school for me. Them and the Cure, courtesy of a girl in my freshman year study hall who introduced me to that whole genre of music, and then at the same time, Enya and Sarah McLachlan. Yeah, I was a weird kid.

Also, yay for weird kids! 'Cause I wasn't at all. *snerk*

Heh. I was a weird kid at a school for weird kids. (Okay, for nerds. Same difference.)

Date: 2006-08-11 04:31 am (UTC)And I was a weird kid at a fairly normal school...but at least my class was a bit cool-weird. We ripped each other apart in elementary and middle school, but by the time we got to high school we'd all kind of found our own paths and we coexisting very comfortably. We were the weird class which really didn't have a popularity hierarchy anymore once we got to high school.
