SG-1

BWAAAAAAAAAAhahahaha.

I think the best moment was at the "wedding," when Daniel murmurs, "You know, if she takes much longer, people are going to think you and I..." I was on the FLOOR. And then Sam arrives, and they cut to Sam and Jack looking at each other in the briefing room, and it's adorable as well as hilarious.

But the Farscape bit was freakin' hilarious as well. Particularly Sam as Chiana! (That was Sam as Chiana, right?) And again I say that Ben Browder and Michael Shanks do bear an amazing resemblance to each other. LOVED whatshisface's (the actor's the guy from XF's "Small Potatoes," isn't he?) reaction, with the "I've definitely never heard of that before."

Not to mention the snarky references to the lead actor of Wormhole Xtreme "phoning it in" and of course the "Save Doctor Levant" website which got "dozens" of hits.

And the Oz section. Can't forget that. Great episode. Can we have more like that, since I'm not much interested in the actual show anymore?

The Asimov quote at the end was spiffy, although the tone shifted so fast that it made my head spin.

Atlantis

- The teaser was sort of eh because you know that, unlike BSG, say, they'd never really do something like that. But then it actually got pretty spooky, with Evil!Doc and the spooky figure who I figured out was John about the second time he showed up.

- So Weir's mom ("mum") is...vaguely Scottish? Ish? Explains Weir's very non-American accent, anyway.

- Raise your hand if you were thinking "Cyberman!" when the spooky guy John was trying to come out of the plastic door or whatever. *g*

- DOGGEH!

- Shippity doo dah de! Shep/Weir, woo! *heart goes pitty pat*

- Wow, Torri's a really good actress. Can they give her more like this to do?

I particularly liked the body-switching ref someone made to Claudia/Vala.

And Amanda-as-China had *really* good makeup. I wonder if they called in the same makeup artist for it.

Well, it kind of works. After all, a lot of Torri's family is in England, and they are originally from Wales.

Hee! I was on the floor more with the Team America bit ("Spinning is way cooler than not spinning!"), but the wedding and Farscape bits were great! AT as Chiana hurt my brain. Oh, whatshisname (Martin?) was actually the guy from XF's "The Godlberg Variation."

The Asimov quote at the end was spiffy, although the tone shifted so fast that it made my head spin.

Yeah, it seemed to go from me nearly peeing my pants, to "wow, they're kinda mean to themselves," to thoughtful. Oddness.

All in all, I now want fic on the whole thing, SG-1 and Atlantis. Got muse? ;D

Oh, also? Insinuating that Jack is Mitchell's daddy? Absolutely priceless!

Sigh. Lucky people who have cable.

'Shakes fist at the cable company that promised to have it up and running by 7 yesterday'

Ah well, as soon as I get my internet, I'll download it as I refuse to download something off of bootleg net.

And now I have. Oh my LORD, SG-1 was funny. Luckily I warned my roommates so I didn't get too many funny looks. I'm glad I have it on my PC, though, cause I need to watch it again.

Atlantis was shiny too. Definitely a good take on the old sci-fi/fantasy story.
