I can feel my IQ drop every time I see that DirecTV commercial with the blonde chick. Ugh.

I'm kind of "eh" about this episode. The whole "Do we dare commit genocide? What if it turns us into them?" question has been asked before, lots of times ("Genesis of the Daleks," to pull one example out of a hat). In this iteration, there wasn't really any new ground broken, even in terms of the characters--I knew already where all the major characters would come down on it. Roslin and Lee would be for it, Helo against it, Adama not actively going against it but not willing to prosecute someone who is, Sharon stoic and abiding by whatever decision came down from her superiors, etc. Nothing new there. (For the record? I think I probably agree with Roslin's statement that even if history reviles them for doing what they were going to do, at least that means there will be people in the future to do so. When there's 41,000 humans versus an essentially infinite number of Cylons, and the Cylons appear bent on wiping them out...I dunno. I'd certainly have a hard time saying no to something that could make that problem go away.)

Heh, now they know Baltar's alive and continuing to be a slimeball. I have a feeling he won't live long if he ever makes it back to the fleet.

Speaking of BSG, there are some excellent spoiler pictures over at [livejournal.com profile] adama_roslin. They're from the episode slated to air December 1st, the title of which I forget right now.

Dude. That torture scene . . . I mean, woah. I think I was actually hiding under my blanket for a few seconds when the cylon brought out that freaky ear-probe-thing.
