Bye-bye, Kat.

It's a shame; despite her ability to be an utter pill, I liked her a lot. I liked how she gave back as good as she got to Starbuck (who I don't really like all that much, to be honest). Heh, I suppose anyone who slashes them must be squeeing about all the icon possibilities from their little chat, hmm?

This episode seemed like it came out of the first season. (Perhaps because...there was a first season episode about being low on food? Maybe?) There was a simple problem for survival, which was solved through grit and hard work, and there were consequences to flying in dangerous space. (Damn, the Whiteboard of Death is gonna take a pounding.) It was fairly predictable, but again, I like Kat, and I really liked her scene with Adama at the end. Seeing the Wall of the Dead again was good, too.

The Baltar/Cylon plot was better. Heh, Three's a resurrection junkie. It's interesting that the Cylons don't even know who the five others are. Lots of interesting possible reasons for that.

Next week, Dean Stockwell's back! Woot! That episode looks like it'll be fun.

Yeah, Kat annoyed me, too, but I'm really bummed that they killed her off.

No kidding. I don't even write slash/fanfic/any of that, and I was thinking about it.

Weren't they just low on water in the first season? I think that's what Gili said . . . Not that it really matters, I guess. I'm just a little weird for details like that.

I remember the episode where the needed water, but I could swear there was a separate episode (maybe it was in the second season) where they were low on food, or food wasn't being distributed equally, or something like that. There was definitely a food problem. I think there may have been rioting involved.

My I ask why? Cause Starbuck is my favorite character (well Helo comes close). She's just so beautifuly fraked up. And for me the more messed the character is the better I seem to like them. She isn't a whole lot different then Aeryn in some ways.

Now that I found very intresting. Almost like the final five are the higher ups. Something so powerful that the cylons we already know don't even know who they are.

I can see why Starbuck is written the way she is, and I even appreciate how frakked the writers have made her, but I don't really like her. Her arrogance and self-absorption, while it fits in with the rest of her character, grates; I'm glad whenever someone takes her down a notch. (I think I don't have the same problem with Aeryn because she was spouting the Peacekeeper party line when she was being a twit; Starbuck doesn't have that excuse.)

I wouldn't change her, but I don't especially like to watch her, basically.
