I love having the new year start in the middle of winter; it gives the year a nice arc. We start off with winter, and then other things grow out of it, and then those things die and we're back to winter.

I can see the pretty circle that makes, but I guess I'm more of a "start everything off FRESH!" kind of person. Actually, I'd like to see the new year start sometime around February or March, really. Although I'm not sure if I'd like it before or after my birthday... (Dude. On my birthday! Woo!)

Also, having a month be halfway in one year and halfway in the other is the first step towards making that entire month a vacation. ^_^

Now this, I can see the point of. ;)
