Maybe "pause" hadn't been invented yet?

For those of you who know anything about Moonlighting, I have an amusing screencap behind the cut.
This comes from episode 3x04, "Yours, Very Deadly," where our ace detectives are staking out a post office box, and are bored out of their minds. Maddie, typically, utilizes the time writing her will. Only this is what she writes...

I guess someone on the production team didn't foresee DVD players and screencapping programs in 1986... ;)

Related to nothing but what's in my music field, I just, after 22 years on this Earth, realized why Motown music is called Motown. (Or I suppose more accurately, why the original Motown Records is named that.) I am as dense as fudge, fruitcake, or possibly lead.

Date: 2007-01-12 06:02 am (UTC)I join you in your fudgitude, only lamer, because I had to Wikipedia it to work it out. Mmmm, fudge...
By the way, I just noticed Dashiell Hammett on your reading list. Good choice. He was one of the better older authors we read in Sergei's class. Haven't read The Thin Man, though. If it's good, tell me?

Date: 2007-01-12 07:42 am (UTC)Yeah, it is pretty blurry. I tried to help it in Photoshop, but it wasn't taking my assistance.
Anyway, it says: "I, being of sound mind, execute this last will and testament on this, the 29th day of October, 1986. I leave my house to my husband, David, and my six children. My car, I leave to my mother, in the hope that she will not get as many speeding tickets as I have in the past..." (Except eliminate all those commas. Whoever actually wrote that apparently doesn't believe in them.)
If you don't know why this is hilarious to me, just use those Wikipedia skills of yours...or just remember what I generally enjoy in television shows...and all should become clear.

Oooooh. I almost had to do that. The realization came to me in the shower. No, I don't know why.
Mmmm, fudge...
I'm so hungry right now.

Spiffy. I always get him confused with Damon Runyon, for some reason...I liked Runyon, though, so maybe I'll like Hammett.

Will do.
