I think this can be summed up with "raises more questions than it answers." Unfortunately, I was kind of in the mood for some answers tonight. Oh well. Lots of good setup for the weeks to come.
Starbuck's picture makes me wonder if she's taking Laura's place as the prophet. If so, will she be dying?
Still 99.999% certain that D'Anna didn't see Baltar among the final five. The one she talked to, though, was probably someone we've seen. I think. Maybe.
Why was Baltar in a body bag if he wasn't dead? I certainly can't fault the sentiment, but...
Next week's preview looks horrifying, because I care only minimally about L/K, but maybe making the entire preview about them indicates there's some massive suprise in one of the other plotlines waiting?

And while I enjoy L/K, the preview does look horrifying. Hopefully SciFi is just trying to mess with our heads.

As the Battlestar Turns! Dawson's Battlestar! Guiding Cylon!
Hopefully SciFi is just trying to mess with our heads.

Date: 2007-01-22 02:14 pm (UTC)I agree, I don't think Baltar is one of the final five. I'm still guessing the one she talked to is Adama, but I don't know. I think it has to be someone with whom they cylons have had a lot of screen time, as D'Anna's "conversation" suggests that this has to be someone they've communicated with regularly.
Anyone else really bummed that they're completely shutting down the D'Anna model? Wow, yeah. "Oh no, they can think outside the collective!! Kill them!!!" Sad.

Date: 2007-01-22 06:00 pm (UTC)I don't think Adama's a Cylon. He fought in the first Cylon war, (presumably) before they had the skinjob models.
Part of me is deathly afraid it'll be Roslin, but I kind of think she and Baltar are exempt, because I have a feeling Ron Moore wants to make a point about humans being able to do things like betray their entire species, or airlock Cylons/take away babies/consider genocide, and making one of them a Cylon would invalidate that.
I think it'll probably be either Starbuck, Tigh, Gaeta or Anders. Maybe Billy, back from the dead? I think it has to be someone with whom Three had fairly extensive contact, although I'm having trouble remembering who all she spent a lot of time with. If it's Starbuck or Anders, it might explain why we've spent so much time on this soap opera plot.
Eh, D'Anna'll be back. I feel certain. Maybe not till the end of the season, though.
