I like Annie Lennox's music, but this video is going to give me nightmares. The crossdressing ballerina drag queens are bad enough, but then she goes and makes these...horrible, creepy faces, and aaaaaugh. Nightmares.

Go onnnn, click it. You know you want to scar yourself.

I think I'll go on to the next entry on this thread about historical-themed music videos, then. Oooaaaugh.

HA! That's totally Hugh Laurie as Prince George from the third season of Blackadder. (Have you watched that yet, by the way? You should.) The moral of that music video is a little disturbing, though: "Best Way To Get Back Your Ex - Giant Public Hissy Fit!" Hrm. But fun.

Do you live on Wacky World?

Didn't you get my "Greetings from Wacky World!" postcard?

Not yet. Will get to it very soon, though.

Muaha! S3 is the best, but the 4th is good, too. The 2nd is... watchable. Haven't seen the 1st.

That interplanetary postal service is so bad about losing stuff...

Eh, they still can't be as bad as my evil mailman.

Does a spaceship figure

.... if only. It's vaguely "historical," with the historical setting changing every season with no explanation, but the same core cast is pretty consistent. Blackadder (Rowan Atkinson) schemes a lot, but is continuously foiled by the dumb luck of the idiots surrounding him. S2 is Elizabethan (if I remember correctly), S3 is... um... whenever they had giant wigs and lots of white face powder, and S4 is WWI. It's basically a whole bunch of gags done with varying degrees of success. Pythonesque, but with more plot. Lots of clever writing, with only a few flops here and there. It's occasionally beautiful and amazing. The series finale is famous as one of the better moments in British television. And it's not a huge time commitment anyway, since each season is only six half-hour episodes and there're four seasons.

Speaking of spaceships... have you heard of Hyperdrive? The first season aired a year ago, I think, and there are rumors of a second. It's a great sci-fi space spoof. Makes fun of just about every Star Trek cliche ever, and does it pretty well. It's on that lovely comm we're in. If, you know, you're somehow running out of tv.

I do kind of have TV coming out my ears right about now.

Oh, woe is you. : )
