I think, based on the evidence that the colonials have and the general pardon, they probably couldn't have justified anything else. BUT, if they knew everything (him and Six on Old Caprica, the nuke, etc.), he would've been airlocked faster than you can say "scumball."
Actually, I'm just more annoyed at how the whole motion to declare mistrial didn't end with the decision about a mistrial; it just ended with sentencing. WTF. I don't care what galaxy they're in, THAT JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN. (Sorry. I'm a lawyer's kid.)
That did seem...really stupid.
I'm not convinced they're cylons myself. It would be cool of Cheif and Anders were, I suppose. But Tigh? Well, that's irony, but it's almost too blatant, really. And Tori, I definitely didn't suspect that, so I suppose it makes for a good twist, but I'm just not convinced.
My current favorite theory is that "we're all Cylons" means everyone in the fleet is a Cylon. That would be way more of a mindfrak than those four, particularly since they telegraphed it so much last week.
I've seen speculation that they (and whoever the Final Fifth is--Starbuck? Roslin?) are members of some kind of pro-human Cylon faction, which would be kind of cool as well.
Agreed on all counts. However, I'm sure (or at least, I hope) they'll find a way to nonetheless make it interesting. There HAS to be a way.
I'm curious to see if they've brought the Cylons to Earth's doorstep, or if Earthlings will kick them to the curb, or what.
And really, 2008??? What's with this 2008 business??? That's nearly 8 1/2 months away!
I guess they wanted time to make it good? Or something?
