ARGH. I seriously have, like, two scenes left to write on the Yukon fic. Well, two and a half. ...Two and three quarters. Whatever. Naturally, they will not come. I think I may possibly need to rewrite/reconceive the whole ending, which, argh.

Bah.

In further Mysteries of Udolpho news, now that they're at the castle in Italy, Emily has been stuck in a COLD ROOM in a HIGH TOWER with a SECRET DOOR that locks from the OUTSIDE. And someone CAME INTO HER ROOM AT NIGHT. Ooooooh.

She's also lifted the veil on a horrible veiled painting, and seen something, well, horrible, but I don't know what it is, because Radcliffe has chosen just to bewail at length its awfulness rather than telling the audience what it is. I hate that. There's also some shocking letter the heroine read earlier in the book that the audience isn't privy to. Having your POV character see something, make a big deal out of it, and then not let the audience in on it for hundreds of pages strikes me as bad form, but what do I know?
