PSA: Pushing Daisies premieres tomorrow at 8 Eastern/7 Central on ABC. It was created by Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me creator Bryan Fuller, and stars Lee Pace and Kristin Chenowith, among others. It is, to quote the Wiki link, "a 'forensic fairy tale' that focuses on Ned, a piemaker with a mysterious ability to make the dead live again."
I can't imagine someone on my flist not having heard of it yet, but in case you've missed it, there you go. It seems to have been given a ton of advertising, so I get the feeling ABC wants it to succeed, but it also sounds totally awesome, which usually translates to "canceled after five episodes," at least in my experience. *hopes lots of people watch*
*
Other TV stuff: okay, so, Corner Gas. In what universe is Hank the same age as Brent and Wanda? He looks about 22. Maybe 25 at the most. They're both, what, ~35 or so?*
I'm finding the show a bit hit or miss, although generally more hit than miss. Was unimpressed with the recent one about Lacey's ex coming to visit, and the one where every female in town tried to convince Lacey that Brent was "out of her league." But the babysitting ep was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Hee!
* Okay, I just looked them all up in Wikipedia, and Fred Ewanuick was in fact 33 when the show started, and is only about five years younger than Brent Butt. ...He still looks 22, though.

Date: 2007-10-03 01:57 am (UTC)...even I've heard of it, and the only advertising I see is billboards. It's actually to the point where it would be weird to see the actors moving and speaking.

Date: 2007-10-03 12:32 pm (UTC)That's because ABC is not devil spawn (aka FOX).
And I've heard of it, even though my head has been buried in the paper of doom for the last week.

Date: 2007-10-03 09:36 pm (UTC)Oh, I'd say they're all spawn of the devil in their own unique wyas. Although I'm pretty sure Fox is the eldest.

Yay! Waaaaaaatch...

Date: 2007-10-04 12:03 am (UTC)Then I was waiting for someone today, and decided to see what ABC had to say and saw the trailer.
Immediate excitement. Any show who casts anyone from Wonderfalls gets at least 2 chances. Though it looks brilliant in its own right.
Sadly, no watching tonight, as I have paperish things to do. Next week I promise.

Date: 2007-10-06 03:21 am (UTC)YES. I totally ask that every time they reference Hank & Brent's childhood or whatever. So glad it's not just me.
