Usually we're somewhere around the eminently more reasonable 70-75 range this time of year. But it's been godawful since June--dry, record-breaking heat, crop-destroyingly-dry, endless heatwave from hell, did I mention the heat and the drought?--so I suppose I shouldn't have expected fall to be any better.
It was around 90 the last few days here, but today was only 80ish. Tomorrow it's supposed to be low-70s, then low/mid-60s for the rest of the week. I'm sending it your way!
It was 88 all the way up here. So hot that a guy died (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/10/07/AR2007100700728.html) in the marathon today. This weather is insane.
