I am really, really in the mood for some good Fraser/Thatcher fic I haven't read yet. It's to the point where I'm tempted to start a community. And then possibly a ficathon.

(This is the point where I need to say to myself, "Self, you are insane." Although I can see where, like, four people might sign up for a ficathon for that pairing, so that might actually be manageable. Hmmm. And yet, my good side is screaming, "You don't even have a first draft of your statement of purpose and your first deadline is January 1 and WHAT ARE YOU THINKING?!")

I am also in the mood for Cupid fic I haven't read yet. This all has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact that I'm painstakingly trying to break through writer's block on that dS/Cupid fic I'm working on. Nothing at all, I tell you. (I have, like, two thousand words left. I can totally do that. I know this. So why won't those words just appear magically on the page, I ask?)

I made a Moxy Fruvous station on Pandora, and it's popped up with...Chumbawumba? I didn't even know they'd ever recorded anything else besides "Tubthumping." The two songs the station has played so far have actually been pretty good. Lots of accordion.

Well, I would sign up for a Fraser/Thatcher ficathon, and i don't even usually do those. There just isn't enough (good) Fraser/Thatcher fic in the world!

but i could only sign up if it was after November because of NaNo (I am going to complete it this year if it kills me).

Hmmm. I'm still veeeeerrrry tempted. Although I've never participated in a ficathon,a nd I don't even really know what's required of participants, much less people who run them. Something about requests and deadlines?

I think if I do do this, it'll be in February, after all my deadlines are over.

I did finish all the forms and resumes and here's-what-certain-programs-want-to-hear things for my recommendations today, so I could reward myself with community-creation...

Hmm.... I may still have it, if it didn't get tossed in my last cd purge when I was scrounging for McKay's trade-in credit.... (I remember it was right on the borderline.) It'd be in Knoxville, though, and I honestly have no idea when I'll be going back there next. If I do run across it in the future, though, it's yours.

We must be picking up the same signals from space or something. I was just wondering today why there isn't a Fraser/Thatcher comm., then thinking about starting one and deciding that I wouldn't be very good at it. I'd love to join one, though, if you started one. *this is not a pleading look on my face, nope*

I would sign up for a ficathon in a heartbeat, because I already have a fic started. I'm not far along at all, so a ficathon would encourage me to work faster.

I've been hoping someone would start a comm for rather a while now. (Maybe that's why this segment of fandom is so small. We're all a bunch of slackers!)

But I think I may end up creating one soon. Eep.

I too would sign up for a ficathon, even though I've never participated in one before. I could probably even run it, just...after January 15th, because that's my last deadline, and I'll be able to stop freaking out for a little while.
