So...that didn't really get interesting until the last ten minutes or so, with Kendra and the Cybrid discussing Kara, Harbinger of Death/Herald of the Apocalypse/Leader of the Band, or whatever she was. (The shock of which Skiffy promptly mitigated with the preview, when she's screaming about them going the wrong way...apparently she's going to figure out she's, you know, leading them wrong? On the plus side, S4 apparently comes out in March, rather than April! This week, at least.)

Other than that...well, we knew the Pegasus was filled with bad juju, and Admiral Ro was the lead manufacturer in the juju factory, so, you know, that was that. Interesting that Cain and Gina were together--gives some more depth to her extreme hatred of Gina from S2. (That's...about all I remember of the Pegasus arc. Hmmm. Must watch DVDs before the new season...) The flashback to Pappadama's mission into the Cybrid factory was more interesting, and of course it sets up the real-time plot, which is good. I have a feeling they're gonna find some more of those breeding/experimentation stations next year.

I totally thought the old man Cybrid was going to call Kendra out as the last of the twelve Humlons, but apparently not. I'm going to take the whole Herald thing as confirmation that Starbuck isn't a Cylon--I figured as much already, after the finale last season, but I suppose there's always some doubt. At least we got something on her special destiny!

I didn't really get what the whole razor metaphor was supposed to be about. I guess just kind of a hard-and-sharp-as thing.

I was a little surprised at Pappadama's...understanding?...for Cain and Kendra at the end. I don't remember if he felt that way back in S2 or not. I'm kind of thinking not.

Nowhere near enough Roslin, but I expected as much, alas. Although we did get three...assertive...female personalities onscreen much of the time, which makes up for a bit. (May I say how much I like BSG not being afraid to have their women outkickass--and outcruel and outcrazy, to be fair--their men?) But, lots of flying around in Vipers, yay! And big explosions!

(Okay, okay, it was actually quite good. Special commendation to whoever played Kendra--she was fantastic. I guess I'm just impatient with seeing something set a year ago, rather than continuing the story they set up last season. Then again, they did throw us a bone with the special destiny...)
