Someone made an awesome set of files from Hem's live show at Lincoln Center with the Gowanus Radio Orchestra back in 2006. You can get them here (scroll down to the second post for the zip of mp3s).

I haven't finished listening to it all yet, but so far, I've heard standout live versions of "The Fire Thief" and "Stupid Mouth Shut."

Of course, now I get to fret for two months until I start hearing back from all of them. Gah. When are you supposed to hear from your schools?

UC mails letters the first week of March. No one else actually says when they mail, but I'm assuming it's around the same time.

I'm kind of glad it'll be awhile, though, because the "What am I doing next year?" fretting is nothing compared to the potential "I'm staying in education next year!?!?" fretting.

Grad school'd! Leaving aside the fact that you count among the grad school genius types...totally know how you feel. At work as well as school, 'cause whoa, talented people everywhere much more inclined to talk and display their awesomeness than I will ever be. I'll...take notes?
