And I think the dress looks nice on you
Feb. 5th, 2008 09:03 pmBecause it is a beautiful, if perhaps lyrically repetitive, song, I give you the following link: "The Dress Looks Nice on You" - Sufjan Stevens (click the little play button to stream)
Sufjan Stevens is severely hit-or-miss for me. Of the twenty-odd songs I've heard by him, I've loved about a quarter, liked another third, and really disliked the rest. I love the more sorta-folky, singer/songwriter stuff like this or "Casimir Pulaski Day," but I just don't get his more experimental stuff. I try, but I guess I'm just too bourgeois. *g*

I like the song you mentioned, but my favorite is "Chicago."
I just listened to that, and it's pretty awesome. I also enjoy "They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors! They Have Come Back from the Dead!! Ahhhhh!!"
